  • 75% of the Grey Kangaroo's bodyweight is water, higher than most mammals.
  • The joey in the pouch drinks different milk than the unweaned joey at foot.
  • Grey Kangaroos in captivity have to be raised with a playmate or they will become overstressed and may die.
 
WHO WE ARE
  • The mob is a family or group of kangaroos.
  • Grey Kangaroos live in mobs of 30 to 100 kangaroos.
  • The Alpha male is the leader of the mob and other males "cough" to show they are subordinate.
 
WHAT WE DO
  • Grey Kangaroos are grazers. They like green grasses best of all.
  • Kangaroos "pant" through their noses with their mouths closed.
  • They wean later than other kangaroos at about 17-18 months.

They are found throughout the eastern side of Australia.
